It invests globally through primary fund commitments, secondary opportunities and co-investments, with emphasis on U.S. and European small- and middle-market buyouts and seed- and early-stage venture capital.
50 South Capital Advisors is a global alternatives investment manager whose business dates to 2000 and was rebranded as 50 South Capital in 2015. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Northern Trust. Its private equity platform partners with private equity managers across buyout, venture capital, growth, distressed and turnaround, credit, and real assets. The firm uses primary commitments, secondary investments and direct co-investments, with a long-term, relationship-oriented approach to manager selection.
