Overview
NATO Innovation Fund is a deep-tech venture capital platform focused on technologies relevant to defence, security and resilience across participating Allied countries. Its remit spans areas including artificial intelligence, autonomy, quantum technologies, space, energy, advanced materials, biotechnology and next-generation communications. The fund combines direct investments in technology companies with investments in venture funds that support emerging technology ecosystems.
NATO Innovation Fund operates independently as the investment manager for the platform. Its team invests in deep-tech and dual-use businesses and venture funds developing technologies with civilian, defence and security applications. The manager focuses on helping portfolio companies and fund managers address defence, security and resilience needs across the Alliance, with an emphasis on advanced science and technology.

- ARX Robotics — The fund invested in ARX Robotics, a developer of scalable robotic systems for defence, commercial and humanitarian applications.
- Isar Aerospace — The fund invested in Isar Aerospace, a launch-services company for small and medium-sized satellites and satellite constellations.
- Kongsberg Ferrotech — The fund invested in Kongsberg Ferrotech, which develops robotic systems for inspection, maintenance and repair of offshore infrastructure.
- STARK — The fund invested in STARK, a manufacturer of unmanned systems for air, land and sea applications.
- Uplift360 — The fund invested in Uplift360, an advanced-materials company focused on recovering and reusing composite waste.
- 201 Ventures — The fund invested in 201 Ventures, an early-stage fund focused on defence, security and resilience companies in Europe.
- Expeditions — The fund invested in Expeditions, an early-stage investor in European security and deep technology.
