KKR Ascendant is KKR’s dedicated North American middle-market strategy within its Americas Private Equity platform. It focuses on established businesses across Consumer, Financial Services, Health Care, Industrials, Media, Software, and Tech-Enabled Services. The strategy incorporates broad-based employee ownership and engagement programs at majority-owned portfolio companies.
KKR is a global investment firm founded in 1976 by Henry Kravis, George Roberts, and Jerome Kohlberg. Its platform invests across private equity, credit, infrastructure, real estate, capital markets, and insurance-related businesses. In private equity, KKR works with portfolio-company management teams on operational and strategic initiatives. Its investment teams draw on KKR Capstone operational professionals, industry expertise, and board-level engagement to support company development during ownership.
