Overview

Glentra Fund I is Glentra’s debut mid-market, value-add infrastructure fund focused on energy transition and decarbonizing infrastructure. It backs companies developing customer-oriented infrastructure solutions across power generation, energy storage, grid infrastructure, electrification of heat and transport, energy efficiency and carbon removal. The fund invests in Europe and the United States and combines capital deployment with active ownership to support infrastructure roll-out and company scaling.

Founded in 2022, Glentra is an energy transition infrastructure investment manager. Its team combines renewable-energy, investment-management, financing and project-development experience across Europe and North America. Glentra invests across renewable energy generation, energy services and energy integration. It pursues majority and minority positions and takes an active ownership approach, working with portfolio-company management on growth, infrastructure development, operational capabilities and risk management.

Selected investments

  • DVP Solar — The fund acquired DVP Solar, a developer of utility-scale solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage projects, with an emphasis on agrivoltaics in Europe.
  • Third Pillar Solar — The fund invested in Third Pillar Solar, a U.S. developer, owner and operator of floating solar projects on man-made water bodies.
  • Kyoto Group — The fund invested in Kyoto Group, which provides electrothermal heat-as-a-service solutions for industrial customers in Europe.
  • energyRe — The fund invested alongside co-investors in energyRe, a U.S. developer of renewable power and transmission infrastructure.
