Overview
EnCap Energy Transition Fund II is EnCap’s second energy-transition fund. It focuses on solutions to decarbonize the power industry, with additional investments in low-carbon fuels and carbon management. The fund has backed platforms spanning utility-scale renewable generation, battery storage, renewable natural gas, renewable-project tax-incentive financing, and the redevelopment of legacy power infrastructure.
EnCap Investments is an energy-focused growth-capital manager founded in 1988. Its platform includes upstream, midstream and energy-transition investing, with the energy-transition team established in 2019 to pursue opportunities associated with a lower-carbon energy system. EnCap partners with experienced management teams and provides growth capital and strategic support. Its investment approach emphasizes sector expertise, disciplined staged capital deployment, risk management and limited use of leverage.

- Arbor Renewable Gas — A renewable natural gas platform.
- Bildmore Renewables — A capital provider to third-party U.S. renewable-project sponsors, offering financing products designed to monetize tax-related incentives.
