Overview
EnCap Energy Transition Fund I is the first fund in EnCap Investments’ energy transition platform. It focuses on backing management teams and projects using established renewable and energy-infrastructure technologies, including utility-scale wind and solar, battery storage, renewable natural gas, hydrogen and related energy services.
Founded in 1988, EnCap Investments provides growth capital to independent energy companies across upstream, midstream and energy transition platforms. Its investment approach centers on partnering with experienced management teams, providing capital and strategic support, and advancing capital in stages as business plans develop. EnCap’s energy transition platform was established in 2019 to pursue opportunities associated with a lower-carbon energy system. The team focuses on renewable power generation, energy storage, low-carbon fuels and related infrastructure.
