Bain Capital Asia V is the fifth pan-Asian private equity fund in Bain Capital’s Asia platform. Amongst others, the fund took data-center operator Chindata private and acquired a stake in human-resources software provider Works Human Intelligence through a cross-fund transaction.
Bain Capital, founded in 1984, is a global private investment firm with private equity, growth and venture, capital solutions, credit, and real assets businesses. Its Asia private equity platform operates across Japan, India, China, Australia, and Korea. The firm’s private equity approach combines sector-focused investing with operational improvement, strategic change, and collaboration with portfolio-company management teams. In Asia, its stated sector coverage includes technology, industrials, consumer, healthcare, and business and financial services.
